ISHLY — Life, give or take.

SAY IT WITHOUT SAYING IT

Today I am functioning-ish.

ISHLY is a lifestyle, media and education brand for people living with invisible chronic illness — built around the messy in-between. We are not here for the illness. We are here for the life around it. The goods and The Energy Journal are out now. The podcast starts in early 2027.

Something to point at when the guilt turns up at 4pm, the words for the next person who says you look great, and dinner you can make sitting down.

No streaks. No dates. No gratitude section.

HOW ARE YOU TODAY?

Functioning-ish.

Upright. Dressed. Doing the things. Nobody needs to know what it cost.

WHERE THE NAME COMES FROM

ISH

how we actually feel

Not fine. Not terrible. Somewhere in between, and different by Thursday. Never a hundred percent, rarely a straight answer.

LY

lifestyle

Because there is a whole life going on around the illness — clothes, work, plans, humor, people — and it deserves better than a waiting room.

Put them together and you get a word for the way most days actually go. ISHLY. Life, give or take.

Some days are good-ish. Some days are bad-ish. Most days are more complicated than one word can explain.

An invisible illness changes far more than symptoms. It changes plans, identity, relationships, work, energy, confidence, travel and the way you imagine the future. None of it shows, so most people never see any of it.

ISHLY is not here for the illness. It is here for the life around it. No cure, no mindset shift, no better version of you. Recognition, useful tools, smart conversations, humor and things that look good — for real life as it actually is.

It is for adults living with invisible conditions such as fibromyalgia, vestibular disorders, ME/CFS, POTS, long COVID, endometriosis, autoimmune conditions, chronic pain and migraine — the ones you have to explain over and over to people who cannot see them. We speak to shared realities without pretending every condition is the same.

FIRST EPISODES IN 2027

Life questions, not diagnosis summaries.

Lived experience and qualified expertise in the same conversation. Why is resting so boring? What happens to a relationship when one person gets sick? The grief nobody warned you about. The first episodes land at the start of 2027.

no pressure, obviously

Be there for the rest of it.

The goods are out. The podcast and the journal are next. We build this in the open, so you get the first episode, the first journal and the occasional piece of writing that says the thing out loud. No pep talks, no miracle cures, no “have you tried yoga”. Nothing more than you asked for.

Unsubscribe whenever. We won't be weird about it.
